Boerner Botanical Gardens  (Hales Corners)

Starting out our day with a visit to the Boerner Botanical Gardens, where thousands of plants bring the seasons to life, with colorful and fragrant displays laid out in 12 formal gardens. Explore a rose garden, peony garden and daylily garden. Move at your own pace and rest on park benches located throughout whenever you feel the urge. After 1 ½ hours here we’ll enjoy lunch at the Olive Garden. I love their salad and bread sticks! When our tummies are full, we’ll take a 5-minute drive to the Village of Greendale where we can look around at some cute shops for about 1 hour and maybe if you have room in your tummies you might want to enjoy some ice cream……chocolate of course! Now is the time for us to get back on the bus and take a 1-hour guided tour of more than 200 decorated chimneys in the Village of Greendale. Each design was chosen by the owner and has its own fascinating story. The guide makes this fun and enjoyable! I think I forgot to tell you that this Village draws a lot of tour groups because of its history and beauty, which includes beautiful flower beds and hanging baskets. I know you’re going to love it!
