June 1, 2023 (Thursday)                               Cost: $79.00

This is a tour you are not going to want to miss! We will start out our day at the International Crane Foundation where we’ll take a guided tour from 9:30 am until approximately 11:00 -11:30 am of the grounds, where the foundation is committed to a future where all 15 of the world’s crane species are secure. (This is a paved walk and lots of benches to sit if needed.) They work worldwide to conserve cranes and the ecosystems, watersheds, and flyways on which they depend on. These are some beautiful birds to see!

We’ll leave the International Crane Foundation and travel 5 minutes to the Aldo Leopold Foundation where we will eat our catered lunch from 12:00 -1:00 pm and then enjoy another tour from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. For those who don’t know Aldo Leopold, he is considered the father of wildlife ecology and a true Wisconsin hero. He was a renowned scientist and scholar, exceptional teacher, philosopher, and gifted writer. It is for his book, “A Sand County Almanac”, that Leopold is best known by millions of people around the globe.
